In a quick 3-0 sweep, LoL Master Series representative Flash Wolves took down Turkish representative SuperMassive to advance to the main stage of the 2017 Mid-Season Invitational.

Flash Wolves have been dominant in their own region, losing only two games all season. With the potent duo of jungler Hung “Karsa” Hauhsuan and mid laner Huang “Maple” Yitang, the Flash Wolves were pegged as one of the best teams at the MSI tournament, despite the fact that their region’s prior international showings put the Flash Wolves in the second round of the Play-In stage.

After Team SoloMid’s narrow 3-2 victory over GIGABYTE Marines yesterday, a slight shadow of doubt was cast over Flash Wolves’ series against SuperMassive, especially since SuperMassive were the stronger of the two minor region teams in the previous stage of the Play-In.

As it turns out, Flash Wolves fans had nothing to worry about. Led by Karsa, Maple, and top laner Yu “MMD” Lihung, the Flash Wolves struck early and often, wholly outclassing the Turkish team.

SuperMassive will face the Marines on Saturday, May 6 to determine the final team at the main stage of the 2017 Mid-Season Invitational.
