New 7-round mock draft for the Las Vegas Raiders

It’s officially the offseason for the Raiders and that means it’s time for a new mock draft. With the Raiders owning the No. 17 pick, the team should be able to improve their defense in a big way. The draft sets up well for that to happen, especially in the first few rounds.

Here is our latest seven-round mock draft as we enter the divisional round of the NFL playoffs:

No. 17 – Zaven Collins, LB, Tulsa

Collins isn’t your typical linebacker. He can cover. He can rush and he can stop the run. He just does it at 260 pounds. He was voted the best linebacker in college football this season and he is the type of playmaker this team needs in the middle of their defense.

No. 49 – Trevon Moehrig, S, TCU

The Raiders need a safety to pair with Johnathan Abram and Moehrig can do that. He’s able to play as a single-high safety and in the box, if needed. He’s a smart player that can be an instant starter for the Raiders.

No. 80 – Shaka Toney, EDGE, Penn State

The Raiders need to add depth to their defensive line and Toney is a proven pass-rusher from a big school. Toney would be a solid third defensive end on this team.

No. 118 – Justyn Ross, WR, Clemson

With Nelson Agholor and Zay Jones set to hit free agency, the team could use another mid-round receiver. Ross is coming off a serious neck injury, but his numbers at Clemson are insane. With Mayock and Gruden’s love for Clemson players, this is an easy fit.

No. 158 – Master Teague, RB, Ohio State

The Raiders need to find a long-term backup and Teague is a tough, inside runner with a strong college pedigree.

No. 241 – Josh Jobe, CB, Alabama

When in doubt, take players from Alabama, Ohio State or Clemson. Jobe is a developmental cornerback that could eventually turn out to be a low-end starter in the NFL.
