Alabama QB Bryce Young is close to being an NIL millionaire, Nick Saban says
Alabama football coach Nick Saban, speaking at the Texas High School Coaches Association convention in San Antonio on Tuesday, said Crimson Tide sophomore quarterback Bryce Young was making "close to seven figures" under the new Name, Image and Likeness policy of the NCAA.
"Our quarterback has already approached ungodly numbers and he hasn’t even played yet," Saban told the THSCA in remarks reported by Chris Hummer of 247Sports. "If I told you what it is, it’s almost seven figures."
Young, a sophomore, played sparingly as a backup in 2020 but is expected to be the starter for the Crimson Tide. He signed with CAA, one of the nation’s most prominent agencies, for his NIL representation.
Nick Saban is talking at the Texas HS Coaches Association convention today. He was asked about NIL. Apparently, Bryce Young is doing quite well.

Georgia quarterback J.T. Daniels, who played at the same Los Angeles area high school as Young, was asked about him at SEC Media Days Tuesday.
"Bryce, he's a stud," Daniels said. "He's a star player. When I had left Mater Dei and they got Bryce, I had known Bryce since he was an eighth-grader, I was a seventh-grader. I knew back then that he was a special player. Honestly, when Mater Dei got him, I was excited. I told MaxPreps that he would be the best quarterback in the country by the time he was a junior in high school because I'd seen him play and I think he's a really good player. I expect a lot of success for Bryce."
