Activision’s premier shooter is heading back to where it all began. Call of Duty: World War II was revealed today and with it came a trailer that showed off its setting in the European theater.

Watch the trailer below.

Much like the early CoD games, the new game will feature historically accurate (or as accurate as a game can be) weaponry from the 1940s.

While the footage shows off the cinematic single player experience, it doesn’t give us much of an idea as to what the multiplayer will look like. This is still Call of Duty we’re talking about here, so you can be absolutely sure that there will be a competitive element to the game.

The live stream reveal did feature Activision developers talking about multiplayer, including some confirmation of modes. There will be the expected multiplayer modes like team deathmatch and its ilk, but also asymmetrical, objective-based gameplay in the new “War mode.” Also coming is “Division,” in which players will create a class and progress through the ranks of the infantry, airborne, or armored, well, divisions.

Nazi Zombies will also be returning as a co-op mode, the developers confirmed.
