Capcom has revealed the first few events in the European leg of the Capcom Pro Tour 2017.

The announcement was made during the weekly Winner Stays On stream on Twitch, hosted by Capcom UK community manager Matt Edwards (via theScoreEsports). The following events will be a part of the Capcom Pro Tour 2017:

  • Sonic Boom Summer Edition, April 1-2 in Madrid, Spain

  • Ultimate Fighting Arena (Premier event), April 8-9 in Paris, France

  • Hypespotting VI, April 15 in Glasgow, Scotland

  • The Colosseum, May 6-7 in Rome, Italy

  • FFM Rumble 10, May 19-21 in Frankfurt, Germany

According to theScoreEsports, Edwards said Capcom will host “about ten ranking events for Europe and probably three Premiers “alongside the regional finals.”

In the past, winners of the Premier events automatically qualified for Capcom Cup and gained twice as many points as Ranking Events. Capcom has not yet confirmed if that will apply to Premier events in 2017.

Earlier this month Capcom announced that it would be revealing the full details for Capcom Pro Tour 2017 in “late February”. It also assured fans that player concerns with Street Fighter V season 2 were being addressed, despite a lack of regular communication.
