Valve has released an update for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive which adds the Negev and R8 Revolver back into Competitive Matchmaking, albeit temporarily.

The two guns have had their price decreased, with the R8 Revolver reduced to $700 and the Negev reduced to $2,000 “as a starting point, to promote experimentation with the weapon.” Previously, the R8 Revolver cost $850 and had been removed from competitive play last month.

The Negev machine gun originally cost $5,700 and had been removed from Competitive Matchmaking in the same March 24 update. The gun is known for its high ammo capacity and very high rate of fire, typically lethal at close range.

Additionally, official game servers have been added in Guangzhou and Shanghai ahead of the game’s Beta launch in China.

Other gameplay tweaks include audio adjustments and new spectator features. For the full details on the patch notes, check out Valve’s Counter-Strike blog.
