Dota 2 Patch 7.03 adds Juggernaut Arcana, Monkey King to Captains Mode, retools Talents, makes Jakiro pretty

Valve has released Dota 2 Patch 7.03 (aka The Bladeform Legacy), and a swath of Talent changes are getting balance tweaks.

When Hero Talents were introduced in Patch 7.00, they allowed players to choose passive bonuses at levels 10, 15, 20, and 25. Since then, there has been a lot of discussion about balance and which Talents were tuned properly. IceFrog, in his infinite wisdom, has tweaked the numbers on the vast majority of heroes in the game.

I’m sure the rest of the Dota 2 team at Valve helped, too. It’s just more fun to imagine IceFrog doing it all himself.

There were also small non-Talent changes to heroes, notably nerfs to Lifestealer and Ogre Magi, both of whom have seen a huge resurgence in play in the past few months.

The patch also adds Monkey King to Captains Mode, making him officially available to play on the competitive stage.

If you’re the sort of person that enjoys paying a large amount of money for cosmetic changes (I am), the Juggernaut Arcana is available. It gives him new ability animations, an altered voice, and new hero portrait, among several other changes.

Finally, the most important change of the patch: Jakiro is getting a new model. And y’all, my two-headed dragon buddy is even more beautiful now. The facelift and buffs to his level 10 and 15 Talents may just force me to become a one-trick again.
