On April 4, 2013, Dota 2 player termeric played a match alongside esports personality and general troublemaker Jake “SirActionSlacks” Kanner. It lasted 50 minutes and 30 seconds, eventually resulting in termeric and SirActionSlacks’ team standing victorious. From the looks of things, it seemed like a banger.

Today, termeric dropped by Reddit to see if Slacks was up to getting “the band back together.”

“Hi slacks, I’m sure you remember me, we won a game together 4 years ago (Match ID:165693124),” trmeric wrote. “I was sven, you picked omni knight, and over the next 50 minutes and 30 seconds we forged a special bond. unfortunately, we cant download the replay, but I’m pretty sure we promised each other that we would party back up in a few years time. What do you say, should we try to go 2 for 2?”

The match history checks out. Slacks held down the five spot with his Omniknight, while termeric got the high kills on his Sven. Slacks left something to be desired with his kill participation, but I’m sure he kept the team in good spirits with his trademark goofball antics.

When the post reached the front page of Missed Connec- er, the Dota 2 subreddit, Slacks was compelled by Reddit law to respond. And he did, with a simple “Ok.” Later, he amended the post to ask termeric to check his inbox to set up a game.

Looks like the game is on.
