Echo Fox continues its expansion into competitive fighting games, signing two top Tekken players.

The organization announced Monday it has signed Evo 2016 and King of Iron Fist 2016 champion Jinwoo “Saint” Choi and former Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Evo champion HyunJin “JDCR” Kim.

“We still can’t believe we are part of this team,” Saint said in a statement on Echo Fox’s website. “When we first got the email and we saw the words ‘Echo Fox,’ we couldn’t move and take our eyes off those two words. We realized our life would change from this moment on.”

Last year, Saint was a dominating force in Tekken 7, becoming the second player to win Evo and King of Iron Fist tournaments in the same year. JDCR has over a decade of competitive Tekken experience. He finished in fourth place in Tekken 7 at Evo 2016.

Echo Fox continues to pursue fighting game talent after making a huge statement by signing a stable of current and former competitive fighting game world champions back in January, including Justin Wong, Yusuke Momochi, Hajime “Tokido” Taniguchi, and Dominique “SonicFox” McLean.

“When we expanded our fighting game team last month, we did it knowing that it was only the first step towards becoming a dominating force in the fighting game community,” Echo Fox owner Rick Fox said on the team’s website. “By signing two of the best Tekken players in the world, Saint and JDCR, we’re moving closer to that goal. I’m pleased to welcome them both to the team.”

Tekken 7 was recently announced as part of the Evo 2017 main game lineup. It is slated to release for PC, PS4, and Xbox One on June 2.
