FaceIt’s Esports Championship Series has announced the teams competing in its Season 3 Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Development League.

The tournament will include eight teams from the Europe region and eight from North America who will battle for a chance to participate in Season 3 by facing against the bottom two teams of Season 2. It will start on February 28, and be live streamed on the FaceIt Twitch channel.

The invited European teams are North, Gambit, Team Kinguin, and Flipsid3. The four qualified European teams are PRIDE, Tengri, Rogue, and Space Soldiers.

For the North America region, the invited teams are Misfits, Renegades, Winterfox, and Selfless. The qualified North American teams are Premier Rejects, Bees Money Crew, Splyce, and Denial Esports.

ECS’ open qualifiers concluded just last weekend. Splyce and Denial Esports beat out over 200 other teams in the open bracket, earning their NA spots in the Development League. Space Soldiers and Rogue beat out all other teams in the EU open qualifiers to earn their respective places.

The ECS Season 2 finals were hosted at the Anaheim Convention Center from December 10-11, 2016. Astralis placed first over OpTic Gaming, while Team EnVyUs and SK Gaming placed equal third-fourth. ECS has some interesting opportunities for teams in that it offers co-ownership of the league, essentially enabling them to become shareholders.
