Overwatch may be a relatively new game in the world of esports, but there’s already big money flowing into the tournament scene. Notably, ELeague and FACEIT have partnered up to launch a $300,000 tournament that starts…tomorrow.

The tournament is an open format, so anyone can take a shot at the $100,000 grand prize. But don’t expect to see much in the way of smaller teams making a run at it. With the sheer amount of money involved here, you can be sure the best of the best will be coming out.

Because ELeague is partnered with Turner, the grand finals will be televised on TBS, much like their current Counter-Strike: Global Offensive tournament.

This is the largest Overwatch tournament to date, and will likely serve as something of a proving ground for Overwatch as a premier esport, at least in the early days of the game. You can bet we’ll be keeping our eyes on it, but the question remains: Will Overwatch get the viewership it needs to stick around?
