North American esports organization Evil Geniuses has confirmed that its current Dota 2 team will remain unchanged going into next season with Clinton “Fear” Loomis staying on as coach. The news was announced on the organization’s official Twitter account today.

The current roster is as follows:

  • Artour “Arteezy” Babaev (position 1)

  • Sumail “Suma1L” Hassan (position 2)

  • Saahil “UNiVeRsE” Arora (position 3)

  • Ludwig “zai” Wåhlberg (position 4/5)

  • Andreas “Cr1t-” Nielsen (position 4/5, captain)

  • Clinton “Fear” Loomis (coach)

This is the line-up Evil Geniuses has held since September this year.

With Valve-issued roster locks coming December 27, it’s unlikely that EG will change their line-up in the coming weeks, lest they forfeit the right to receive direct invitations to tournaments.

The team saw recent success at the China Top 2016 tournament, sweeping second place Newbee 2-0. Prior to the event, the team showed a strong performance at the Boston Major, where they placed equal 3rd-4th.

While players can be added after December 27, Rosters will be fully locked from January 9 at midnight PT and will remain so until after the Spring Major (aka the Kiev Major 2017), which takes place April 20-23, 2017.

In related news, Valve recently released patch 7.00 for Dota 2. The update introduces a number of big changes, including brand new hero Monkey King, a new HUD, pre-game stage, talent trees and map changes, and other tweaks including graphical remodels and community-authored bots.
