Fnatic announces new Dota 2 roster
European esports organization Fnatic has announced its new Dota 2 roster, albeit with a stand-in for ESL One Genting. As detailed on the official Fnatic site, the announcement lists the following line-up:
Yee Fung “Mushi” Chai – Mid/Carry
Muhammad Rizky “InYourDream” Anugrah – Mid/Carry
Chong Xin “Ohaiyo” Khoo – Offlaner
Yong-min “Febby” Kim – Roaming Support
Ng “YamateH” Wei Poong – Hard Support (Stand in)
Korean-Canadian player Febby is perhaps the biggest pick-up, coming off his previous team, MVP Phoenix, who saw moderate success last year by placing 4th at the Shanghai Major 2016 and 7th-8th at The International 2016.
Indonesian player InYourDream joins the team as a complete newcomer to the professional scene, picked up after establishing himself as an 8k+ MMR player on the SEA server.
Mushi and Ohaiyo have both been signed to Fnatic since June of 2016 and were previously signed to Team Malaysia. In addition, Mushi has played alongside YamateH before on the team Orange Esports, where the two reportedly experienced conflicts. It’ll be interesting to see how the team chemistry plays out at upcoming events.
Dota veteran YamateH was previously signed to White Fries Gaming, but will play for Fnatic as a stand-in at ESL One Genting.
The Dota 2 roster lock deadline is looming, so it’s likely we’ll see more roster announcements as the date nears. Yahoo Esports will be keeping an eye on all the changes, so be sure to check out our Dota 2 hub for more news as it breaks.
