Esports organization Fnatic has announced its partnership with Italian football club AS Roma and revealed a new FIFA team roster.

The lineup includes Sam “Poacher” Carmody, Aman “Aman” Seddiqi, and Nicoló “Insa” Mirra with manager Colin Johnson. The players will represent Roma at upcoming FIFA tournaments.

Fnatic will still be managing the team, as well as offering support for training and attending events.

“FIFA’s entry into the world of esports has received the attention of many organisations both from established football clubs and esports organizations,” said Fnatic CEO Wouter Sleijffers in a press release. “Fnatic is excited to enter this rising esports game with AS Roma, one of the most iconic clubs in football with a long and successful history.”

The partnership makes sense, given that Fnatic co-owner James “Jim” Pallotta is also president and chairman of AS Roma. The announcement marks AS Roma’s first venture into esports, although they’re not the only sports team to form a partnership with an esports organization as of late.

Splyce recently announced a strategic partnership with Boston Bruins parent company Delaware North. Entertainment and marketing agency Lagardère Sports recently signed a partnership with Unicorns of Love.
