For Honor is getting one of its first professional tournaments with The War Rising Series, presented by Panda Global and Smash.gg.

The event has some big names from the FGC backing it, with long-time Smash 4 tournament organizer Bassem “Bear” Dahdouh and noted good dude (and top eight Evo 2016 finisher) Joe “LI Joe” Ciaramelli putting the brackets together. Casters will include Brandon “dmbrandon” Nance and Matthew “Sohinki” Sohinki.

War Rising will feature one tournament per week for six weeks and kicks off on February 27. While the prize pool is relatively small for the initial weeks ($200 for week one, $100 for each subsequent week), the final week will have a $2,000 pool. Players will qualify for that ultimate tournament by scoring points in the previous weeks.

Full schedules and registration info can be found on Smash.gg’s War Rising Series website.
