Global Contract database adds Irean to Team Vitality

Riot Games Global Contract Database has added Heo “Irean” YoungCheol, previously an analyst for Vietnamese teams Saigon Jokers and Saigon Fantastic Five, to the list of Team Vitality contracts for the EU LCS.

Previous Head Coach Kévin “Shaunz” Ghanbarzadeh has not been re-added to the database.

Team Vitality joined the EU LCS in 2016 by purchasing a spot from Gambit Gaming. In 2016 Spring, they placed third in regular season, but lost in playoffs to sixth seed team Fnatic. In 2016 Summer, Vitality placed sventh, ensuring a spot in the 2017 season, but not earning a playoffs seed.

Irean played AD carry for Korean team Xenics Storm before joining Saigon Fantastic Five as an analyst. It is presumed he will take over in a coaching capacity for Team Vitality, as the team has signed Pierre “Steeelback” Medjaldi and two other Korean starters. As Shaunz, the previous Head Coach, has not re-appeared in the contract database, Irean may take over the role for the team.
