Lee “Heart” Gwanhyung, former Head Coach of LGD Gaming, has left the team out of remorse for 2016 season, according to LGD‘s weibo.

A former support of Samsung Blue and World Championship semifinalist, Heart moved to LSPL team Vici Gaming Potential (later renamed to Unlimited Potential) in 2015. There, he and the team qualified for 2015 LPL Summer, but UP was relegated before 2016.

Rather than continue his playing career, Heart retired to become Head Coach of LGD Gaming in 2016. Poor team coordination and inconsistent play resulted in a lackluster domestic season, and Heart received a lot of criticism. In LGD’s post, the team claims that Heart “deeply felt remorse” and decided to suspend his own coaching contract.

LGD thanked Heart for more than a year of service and revealed they have already signed a new coach whose identity will be announced shortly.
