Heroes of the Storm Global Championship qualifiers start this weekend

The Heroes of the Storm Global Championship qualifiers for Europe and North America will be starting soon.

The Europe qualifiers will begin on the following dates and times.

  • Qualifier #1: Saturday, November 19 and Sunday, November 20 at 5am PT

  • Qualifier #2: Saturday, November 26 and Sunday, November 27 at 5am PT

  • Qualifier #3: Thursday, December 1 and Friday, December 2 at 7am PT

The North America qualifiers will start a bit later, on the following dates and times.

  • Qualifier #1: Monday, November 21 and Tuesday, November 22 at 5pm PT

  • Qualifier #2: Saturday, December 3 and Sunday, December 4 at 3pm PT

  • Qualifier #3: Saturday, December 10 and Sunday, December 11 at 3pm PT

The teams who place first and second in each region’s qualifier will be guaranteed spots in their respective HGC. So far Team Dignitas and Fnatic have confirmed spots in Europe, and Denial Esports and Astral Authority have confirmed spots in North America. The matches will be played in a single elimination, best-of-three format. They will be live streamed via Twitch.

The top eight teams in each region will be contracted, with guaranteed compensation and regular competition. League play will start in January 2017 and continue throughout the year until the finals in November 2017.
