Esports organization Immortals has announced that they are parting ways with their League of Legends strategic coach, David “Hermes” Tu. The news was confirmed on the Immortals website.

The announcement reads:

“Immortals remains committed to building and maintaining a strong infrastructure. We’ve retained our other experienced competitive staff and we’re excited to announce a new addition to our Summer coaching staff in the coming days.”

Hermes joined Immortals as a coach in November 2016, working alongside performance coach Robert Yip. He was formerly a League of Legends coach for Renegades (previously known as Misfits) and later on Team Envy.

Immortals’ League of Legends team placed 7th in the 2017 Spring Split Regular Season, going 8-10. This marked a major downturn compared to their results in the 2016 Summer Split Regular Season, where they went 16-2 and placed third in playoffs.
