Improbable high school buzzer-beater involves stolen inbound pass and shot with under a second to go
There’s not a lot you can do in a basketball game with 0.9 seconds left on the clock. If your team has the ball and needs to score, you can put up a shot, but you don’t have a lot of time to make sure it’s perfect.
If your team doesn’t have the ball, you can only hope the other team misses … or you can do what Ryan McAleer of the New Canaan Rams did. With less than a second left on the clock in a tie game, McAleer not only intercepted the inbound pass, but also nailed the game-winning shot.
It looked a little something like this:

After the game, McAleer’s teammates waited until the perfect moment to continue the celebration.

McAleer won’t graduate from high school until 2020, so NBA players have at least until then to figure out a way to top this.
