Evil Geniuses’ Justin Wong has officially been recognized by Guinness World Records for his Evo accomplishments.

Wong posted images on Twitter revealing two awards sent to him by GWR.

The first record is for winning the most tournaments for a single game at Evo. Between 2002 and 2010, Wong posted victories six times in Marvel vs. Capcom 2 (2002, 2003, 2004, 2006, 2008, and 2010).

Wong’s second record is for having the most tournament victories overall at Evo. In addition to the six MVC2 championships, Wong also won a Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike 2v2 tournament in 2009 (with Issei Suzuki) and Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 in 2014.

“Getting recognized by Guinness World Records is awesome because I didn’t think I would ever be involved with them,” Wong told Yahoo Esports. “It’s still crazy to me how gaming has evolved so much. GWR giving me this opportunity really makes me so proud to see my passion in gaming become something that people respect and I will continue to try to break more records and do more for the community.”

Wong isn’t the only FGC name in the Guinness World Record books. He joins Ryan “Prodigal Son” Hart, who is listed for holding the most international Street Fighter competition wins. Additionally, Daigo “The Beast” Umehara was honored for Evo Moment #37, which is listed for “Most views for a competitive fighting game match” and for having the highest overall rank in Ultra Street Fighter IV.

While it isn’t a Guinness World Record, Wong did set a record for Capcom Pro Tour victories in 2016. Wong tallied seven Ranking Event wins across three continents, including JAM Festival (Brazil), Northwest Majors (Seattle), DreamHack Austin (Austin), Toryuken (Toronto), Combo Breaker (Chicago), Furia Tica 2016 (Costa Rica), and Manila Cup (Philippines.)

Wong is set to compete at Capcom Cup, which takes place December 2nd and 3rd at Esports Arena and PlayStation Experience, respectively.

Justin Wong celebrated his birthday just yesterday. We hope the awards made for a nice surprise. Happy birthday Justin!

Michael Martin has a birthday coming soon and he likely won’t receive any Guinness World Records but you can gift him your follow on Twitter @Bizarro_Mike.
