Kate Upton challenges Justin Verlander to pick between World Series and honeymoon

Houston Astros pitcher Justin Verlander and model Kate Upton celebrated four weeks of wedded bliss on Saturday.

That’s the good news. The bad news, at least for Verlander, is that a fan on Twitter recently asked him to pick which was better between winning the World Series or spending his honeymoon with Upton, and now that Upton’s seen it she’s anxiously awaiting his response.

That tweet was originally posted last Sunday.

At first, Verlander decided to ignore it hoping that Upton wouldn’t notice. Then, on Friday, Upton noticed it and let Verlander know that she noticed it.

This begs a new question. What’s more intimidating: Facing the likes of David Ortiz and Aaron Judge for a living, or having your new wife ask you to pick between your honeymoon or achieving the ultimate goal in your career that doubles as a lifelong dream?

The answer there is probably pretty easy. Facing Oritz and Judge would be a piece of cake compared to giving the wrong answer to Kate Upton.

So what did Verlander do? On the plus side, he didn’t give the wrong answer. Then again, he didn’t give the right answer either. Instead, he just decided to continue avoiding the question.

Some have applauded Verlander for expertly dancing around the question. We’d give him a few extra points for the response itself, which was pretty darn fun. Others are questioning his sanity, wondering why he didn’t just say what she wanted to hear.

As for us, we’re not here to judge or question anything. We’re just thankful Kate Upton and Justin Verlander are together and are always ready to give us gems like this on social media.
