Tong “Koro1” Yang, previously a top laner for EDward Gaming, has joined Royal Never Give Up, according to EDward Gaming’s weibo.

“During the transfer window,” EDward Gaming’s weibo said, “RNG expressed many times that they would like Koro1 to join them.”

The post goes on to state that RNG have expressed interest in Koro1 since 2016, and as EDG have a good relationship with RNG, they have allowed the transfer to go through. EDward Gaming state they hope this will be a new beginning for the top laner and that they have transferred all related fees to Koro1 himself.

Koro1 has been a member of EDward Gaming since the team was formed at the end of 2013. He has shared the starting spot with Chen “Mouse” Yuhao in recent years. In Spring, however, Royal have had success with top laner Yan “LetMe” Junze, so it is unclear who will take the starting role in the coming split.
