In a new developer blog, Riot Games has announced that it will be bringing daily quests to League of Legends. Called “Legends Missions,” the quests will give players objectives to complete in their games to earn “unique skins, Summoner icons, and loot.”

Much like the quests in Hearthstone or Heroes of the Storm, the Legends Missions will give players goals to get their free stuff. Examples Riot gave as “good” missions are “Win three games with at least 10 kills/assists,” or “Win three games as Leona with an A grade or higher.”

Not all Legends Missions will be so simple, however. In the blog, game designer Evan “Revenancer” Humphreys had this to say about the future of the quest system:

“Our goal with Missions is to deepen all sorts of aspects of the game you already enjoy. Now regions and feature teams have the flexibility to add missions that enhance your experience with new goals and rewards. You might be able to do a chain of missions to demonstrate your loyalty to TSM (or CLG, if you’re a masochist like me) and earn a unique icon, or live a new champion’s story personally through a set of missions.”

As with many new features that Riot announces in advance, there’s no word on when Legends Missions are going to go live. But when they do, you can be sure we’ll let you know over at the Yahoo Esports League of Legends hub.
