LeBron James sparks Lakers to 21-point first quarter lead over Rockets

LeBron James recorded 10 points, three assists, and four rebounds in the first quarter of the Los Angeles Lakers rematch of Sunday’s game against the Houston Rockets on Tuesday night again in Houston. LeBron’s play was the spark for the Lakers as he got them going and he once again showed some great chemistry with Lakers starting center Marc Gasol, who also had three assists in the first quarter as the Lakers moved the ball very well to the tune of a 35-14 lead.

With the Lakers heading to Oklahoma City for a back-to-back on Wednesday, LeBron got the Lakers a headstart on getting on the road.

Outside of LeBron’s 10 points, the rest of the Lakers scoring on the 35 points was relatively balanced, including the Lakers bench. Montrezl Harrell recorded six points off the Lakers bench. Defensively, the Lakers were dominant against the Rockets, holding them to 28% shooting as James Harden and John Wall both struggled to get going.
