Sometimes, we all need a feel good story.

Yesterday, the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive community was up in arms over disabled gamer Adam “Loop” Bahriz getting vote-kicked out of an ESEA pug match for what his teammates perceived as trolling. Far from trolling, Loop had let them know that he would have some difficulties communicating due to HSAN type 2, a genetic disease that has resulted in the loss of his nose and many of his teeth. He is also legally blind and deaf.

After a clip from his stream was posted on Reddit that showed Loop’s teammates kicking him from the game, support began pouring in for him. His stream numbers spiked, donations came flowing in, new subscribers paid their respects, and his plays got posted all over the CS:GO subreddit.

The flood of love was certainly something special, but it wasn’t until Team EnVyUs tweeted at Loop to offer him an opportunity to stream under their banner that things really escalated to “truly special.” Obviously, the terms of their contract will likely be decided upon later, but you can expect Loop to have a large presence on Twitch for the foreseeable future.

No matter how you feel about whether or not his teammates were right to assume he was trolling, the support from the community is something we can feel good about. A community saw a wrong happen and worked to make it right. Godspeed, Loop, may your streaming future be a good one.
