South Korea-based esports organization Lunatic-Hai has parted ways with two players in their Overwatch team. Lee “Claris” Keon-Ho and Byeon “Munchkin” Sang-Beom are no longer on the team, despite only being announced as additions to the roster three days ago.

The announcement posted on the Lunatic-Hai website (via Reddit), lists player Moon “Gido” Gi-Do being added as the seventh player.

According to the announcement, Munchkin was at the center of a controversy, having made “mistakes” in the past. The announcement did not reveal additional information about the nature of these mistakes, although it does note his “inability to cooperate with his teammates”. Munchkin has been reportedly hit with accusations of very toxic behavior in the competitive scene, as alleged on Over.gg.

The statement confirms that he had discussed these openly with the team and showed “repentance” for these errors. He will be taking time away from the competitive scene to reflect.

Claris was hit with accusations of account boosting and toxic conduct. He denied these, but is stepping away from the team of his own accord. Both players’ departures from the roster were mutual decisions following discussions with the team.

Gido joins after placing third in Lunatic-Hai’s testing.

The organization has also announced that it will be changing its standard for choosing new players. They will be looking for both established players from previous seasons, as well as players who are unknown but show high potential.
