Panda Global has released part three of its top 50 Smash 4 players rankings, and it’s a doozie. While most of the players aren’t surprising, Echo Fox’s recently signed Jason “Mew2King” Zimmerman’s debut at number 28 certainly is.

One of the “five gods” of Smash is described as “the biggest threat” and “a favorite to hit top 8” by Panda Global, despite his initial struggles before landing on Cloud as his main.

Mew2King boasts an “X-factor” of positive 11, the highest on the Panda Global Rankings. X-factor is the numerical difference between where Panda Global rates a player based on stats (tournament placing, set counts, etc.) versus where 48 panelists rates the players.

In other words, the panelists felt Mew2King should have been rated 11 spots higher than Panda Global’s ranking system.

Coincidentally, Panda Global’s own Smash 4 player, Jestise “MVD” Negron, is ranked 21 on the list, and boasts a negative 11 X-factor. MVD started out strong in Smash 4 before hitting a slump. He also reportedly has perfect attendance at Smash 4 majors, including Europe. His most notable finishes include seventh at Apex 2015, fifth at CEO 2015, and 17th at Evo 2015.

In case you missed it, Panda Global has already published part one and two, listing players rated 50 through 41 and 40 through 31. Parts four and five are expected to be released on May 25 and May 27, respectively.
