Esports organization Mousesports has announced a new Dota 2 roster:

  • Omar Mohammad “Madara” Dabachach (Position 1)

  • Dimitrios “ThuG” Plivouris (Position 2)

  • Charalampos “Skylark” Zafeiriou (Position 3)

  • Verros “MaybeNextTime” Apostolos (Position 4/5)

  • Georgios “SsaSpartan” Giannakopolous (Captain, position 4/5)

The players were previously signed to Ad Finem, but parted ways with the organization in early March this year. The team had a number of high-profile results under the AF banner, most notably finishing in second place at The Boston Major 2016. They competed under temporary name The Greeks while looking for a sponsor.

“Dota is one of the most exciting games in esports with a huge and very dedicated fanbase, amazing events, and the biggest prize pools. We couldn’t wait to get back into the Dota community and I believe we found the perfect group to take this step. Our roster is bursting with team spirit and passion for the game and their first week has exceeded all our expectations. They will make it easy for our fans to welcome them and we will do everything on our part to integrate them as quickly as possible. We are all looking forward to seeing the guys in action in Kiev”, said Mousesports CEO Cengiz Tüylü in a statement.

This marks the organization’s return to the Dota 2 scene after nearly two years away.. Mouseesports had parted ways with their last Dota 2 team in July 2015, with players citing a desire to pursue individual careers.

The Mousesports Dota 2 team will be competing at the upcoming Kiev Major, which takes place April 27-30 at the National Palace of Arts Ukraine and has a prize pool of $3 million. Check out the list of all the invited teams.
