Jeong “Max” Jong-bin has been having a hell of a season. Establishing himself as one of, if not the best supports in LoL Champions Korea, he’s been making plays for MVP’s League of Legends roster like nobody’s business.

But no one was quite prepared for what he was going to do last night.

In a key matchup for MVP against KT Rolster, Max showed up to play. While MVP lost Game 1, Max wasn’t going to go down without letting KT know that he wasn’t there to mess around. Down 5k gold and out of position for Baron, it looked like MVP was going to nab the objective for free and cruise to an easy win.

Max rejected this plan.

Reminiscent of Lyubomir “BloodWater” Spasov’s rank 1 Janna Howling Gale Baron steal way back in 2013, it was one of the best Baron steals we’ve seen in a while. It’s the kind of steal that ends jungle careers (though somehow I suspect Go “Score” Dong-bin is going to find a way to bounce back).

Max wasn’t done yet. After losing Game 1 and going down 10k gold in Game 2, things were looking grim for MVP’s chances of beating the third place team in the LCK.

But then, Max did this.

That’s unfair, Max. A quadra on support Sion? That’s just rude. That’s the kind of play that tilts your opponents off of the face of the Rift. And for KT, it totally did. From that point forward, the series was all MVP, ending with a huge comeback in Game 2 and a decisive Game 3 (with Max on fan favorite support Brand). Who says supports can’t carry?
