The Atlanta Hawks were one of the NBA's hottest teams in the playoffs last season.

The Hawks made a run to the Eastern Conference Finals and took the eventual NBA champion Milwaukee Bucks to six games. Had Trae Young not injured himself stepping on an official's foot, the Hawks could have gone even further.

With a young nucleus headlined by Young and a solid offseason, the Hawks should be an intriguing contender in the East again especially with some big questions among some of the best teams in the conference. Bettors are buying in, especially when it comes to Atlanta's win total.

Bettors excited about Hawks

BetMGM has the NBA season win totals up, and the Hawks are one of the two teams whose line has moved a full game.

The Hawks' win total opened at 46.5 and has been pushed to 47.5. Their over is the most popular among all NBA teams in terms of bets.

Here are the three most popular overs at BetMGM:

  • Hawks over 46.5

  • Suns over 51.5

  • Trailblazers over 44.5

The Utah Jazz are the other team that has seen a significant shift in their win total. The Jazz opened at 51.5 and is now 52.5. That move was largely due to the biggest NBA win total bet that BetMGM has taken, a $22,000 wager to win $20,000 on Jazz over 51.5 wins.

Who are the most-bet NBA unders?

There are a few teams that bettors aren't so high on. That list starts with the Los Angeles Clippers.
