New Injustice 2 story trailer highlights supervillain Brainiac
Warner Bros. and DC have released the latest Shattered Alliances story trailer for Injustice 2, and the focus is on the game’s antagonist, Brainiac.
While the story mode appears to deal with Brainiac invading Earth and seeking out Superman, we also get glimpses of Brainiac’s gameplay. Brainiac uses robotic tentacles to grab opponents and he appears to have an ability to call in robot minions. Whether that’s tied to his Super Move is unclear.
Brainiac’s first appearance in the DC Comics’ universe was in Action Comics #242 back in 1958. He is an alien android that once shrunk and stole Kandor, the capital city of Superman’s homeworld Krypton.
In related Injustice 2 news, Captain Cold and Scarecrow were introduced in a recent spotlight on the game’s playable villains. You might recognize the voice actor for Scarecrow as the legendary Freddy Krueger actor Robert Englund.
