Damian Lillard trolls Thunder with new shoes from his buzzer-beating 2019 playoff win

Damian Lillard hasn’t forgotten about his 50-point performance and winning bucket that let the Portland Trail Blazers close out the Oklahoma City Thunder in the 2019 playoffs.

Now, he’s making sure that Oklahoma City fans haven’t let that moment slip from their minds, too.

Lillard, according to ESPN’s Nick DePaula, is dropping a new special Adidas shoe in Thunder colors commemorating that series-ending game.

Lillard still trolling OKC years later

Lillard, with the Trail Blazers up 3-1 in their series with the Thunder and time ticking down in April 2019, pulled up from 37-feet for a wild buzzer-beating bucket over Paul George.

The shot, which gave Portland the win and ended the series in five games, sent both the Blazers and the Moda Center into total pandemonium.

That shot brought Lillard to 50 points on the night, along with seven rebounds and six assists.

Though his new shoes are complete with Thunder colors, the best part of the troll comes on the sole of the shoe — where his stats sit in blue and orange.

Now, nearly all of the players on the Thunder today weren’t on the team for this series nearly two years ago. In fact, only Hamidou Diallo is still in Oklahoma City. Lillard’s new kicks though, are likely to bother George at least a little bit — as he called Lillard out for his “bad shot” after that contest.

And, of course, Thunder fans almost certainly won’t be lining up to snag his new shoes anytime soon, either.

But hey, after an epic night like that, it only makes sense that Lillard wants to honor the outing. After all, he earned it.
