Razer has announced a new licensed fightstick for the PlayStation 4, the Razer Panthera.

Panthera is Razer’s first fightstick for the current console generation. After a series of mishaps with Xbox 360/PS3 versions of their fightsticks at Evo 2015 and Final Round in 2016, Razer suspended its expansion into fighting games.

As you may know, Razer has been away from the fighting game scene since March, focused on refining the product, but now has shifted its focus once again,” Razer’s FGC and product consultant Mark “MarkMan” Julio said in a statement.

“RZR continued to sponsor and support Infiltration/Xian throughout, even though the product wasn’t ready for where the bulk of the FGC participated. The team is dedicated to working closely with the FGC to create a bigger and better scene for us all.”

Back at SEAM 2016, Team Razer’s Seon-woo “Infiltration” Lee teased Razer was working on a new line of fightsticks and that an announcement was forthcoming. Both Infiltration and Razer’s Ho Kun Xian have been using a prototype of the new fightstick at events this year.

The Panthera retails for $200 and is available for purchase now at Razer’s official site.
