Esports organization Renegades has revealed their updated Counter-Strike: Global Offensive roster, adding two new players to the lineup.

Noah “Nifty” Francis and Nemanja “Nexa” Isakovic have joined the active roster. The new team is currently as follows:

  • Noah “Nifty” Francis

  • Nemanja “Nexa” Isakovic

  • Aaron “AZR” Ward

  • Justin “jks” Savage

  • Karlo “USTILO” Pivac

  • Aleksandar “kassad” Trifunović (coach)

Nifty and Nexa had joined the lineup for a short bootcamp in Belgrade, Serbia, which was deemed successful.

Nifty was formerly a Call of Duty player before making the transition to pro Counter-Strike. He was previously signed to the team Selfless Gaming’s CS:GO team. Nexa was previously signed to iNation, where he was teammates with kassad and CS:GO analyst Janko “YNk” Paunović.

“We felt discussing strategies and tactics in person would accelerate the learning curve while building a bond between teammates,” said Renegades manager Chris “GoMeZ” Orfanellis. “We had a hugely successful bootcamp against European teams and cannot wait to get started with our Official matches in ECS Season 3 and the remaining weeks of ESL. Also, the team will be competing at IEM Sydney and the Asian Minor within the next month.”

Renegades’ roster was up in the air for a while following the departure of Ricky “Rickeh” Mulholland to Counter Logic Gaming in March. Shortly after, Yaman “yam” Ergenekon parted ways with the team to return to Australia. During this period the team competed in various tournaments with Simon “atter” Atterstam as a stand-in.

IEM Sydney will take place May 6-7 at the Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney. The tournament will feature six invited teams: Renegades, SK Gaming, Astralis, FaZe, North, and OpTic Gaming. Teams Chiefs eSports Club and ViCi Gaming will be joining via qualification.
