Riot: League of Legends 2016 World Championship, nearly 400 million served
Riot Games has released an infographic showing a substantial rise in the total number of daily unique viewers of the 2016 League of Legends World Championship.
According to the company, unique daily cumulative viewership rose from 334 million in 2015 to 396 million in 2016. Those viewers spent 370 million hours watching Worlds this year.
The World Championship Finals went five games, required a record-breaking 252 minutes of gameplay, and used 308 moving lights and 64 projectors
Our favorite stat? Only one person ended up with a perfect “Worlds Pick ‘Em” out of almost 2 million. Worlds was crazy this year.
