That was quick.

Samsung Galaxy tore through their 2016 League of Legends World Championship semifinal matchup, swatting away H2K in quick 3-0 fashion.

Some 3-0′s are closer than their shutout scores imply. This wasn’t one of them. Despite early game heroics from jungler Marcin “Jankos” Jankowski in the first two games, the theme of H2K’s series was the complete inability to convert kills into objectives. More often than not, they would commit heavily to pick off a member of SSG, and then look lost once they had a man advantage.

Meanwhile, SSG was continuously pushing turrets, establishing deep vision, and expertly playing the map. Even when down players, they took tower after tower, whether it be from the split pushing of top laner Lee “CuVee” Seong-jin or expert jungle pathing from Kang “Ambition” Chan-yong. Samsung refused to give up an inch in the face of H2K’s aggressive playmaking.

Samsung Galaxy must now face the juggernaut that is SK Telecom T1 in the grand finals. There, up-and-coming mid laner Lee “Crown” Min-ho will be doing his best to prove himself against the greatest of all time, Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok. If he can do that, Samsung Galaxy might just have a chance.
