Super Smash Bros. Melee has been replaced by Super Smash Bros. Wii U on finals day at Evo 2017.

Evo founder Joey “Mr Wizard” Cuellar revealed on its announcement show stream the full main games list for Evo 2017 and the games that will appear on finals day at the Mandalay Bay Events Center, including Street Fighter V, Tekken 7, BlazBlue: Central Fiction, and the fan vote-in game.

This year will be the first for Smash 4 on finals day at Evo. Smash 4 concluded on Saturday at Evo 2016.

Melee has been a staple on finals day at Evo since winning the player vote in 2013. Last year, Juan “Hungrybox” Debeidma defeated Adam “Armada” Lindgren in an epic set, resetting the bracket 3-2 and winning the final set 3-2 for his first Evo victory.

Evo 2017 will take place July 14-16 in Las Vegas at Mandalay Bay.
