Ryan “Filipino Champ” Ramirez’ time with Panda Global has come to an end as he has signed on with Splyce, who announced the news today.

This marks Splyce’s first foray into Street Fighter V. The team had expressed interest in moving into the fighting game space earlier in the year.

Splyce gets a proven fighting game champion in FChamp. He’s a former Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 Evo champion and qualified for the Capcom Cup 2016, where he finished in ninth place. He also won the vote to represent the FGC in the Bud Light All-Star program.

Yesterday, Panda Global posted a documentary produced by Last Stock Legends as a farewell to FChamp.

In related news, Splyce recently entered into a partnership with the Boston Bruins’ parent company Delaware North. It isn’t clear what the partnership means for Splyce but it isn’t the first time a North American professional sports organization has invested in esports.
