Steph Curry is very proud of brother, Sixers sharpshooter Seth Curry

When one is the brother of an NBA megastar like Golden State Warriors guard Steph Curry, it can be tough to break out of that spotlight and just be one’s own person.

For Philadelphia 76ers sharpshooter Seth Curry, it took him a while to really break into the NBA and be his own player with all of the comparisons to Steph, but he has established himself as one of the best shooters in the game.

Seth scored 24 points in Philadelphia’s 116-96 loss to the Warriors on Wednesday, Steph scored 25, and it continued a strong start for him. He is now averaging 15.9 points while shooting 50.3% from the floor and 41.1% from deep.

Afterward, Steph told NBC Sports Bay Area that he was very proud of his brother for what he is accomplishing in Philadelphia:

“That dude is playing unbelievable basketball, and it’s fun to watch,” Steph said. “He’s continued to get better. He goes at his own pace, he’s so under control. … It’s impressive, the way that he’s playing, the way that he’s stepped into his own identity in this league as a scorer and playmaker.

“Proud, proud brother.”

Seth will have to continue with his strong play in order for the Sixers to have the type of success they envision having. His ability to shoot the ball as well as score in other ways will be nice when Joel Embiid does return from the health and safety protocols.
