Stephen Curry says Golden State Warriors' Game 5 mentality is 'Whoop That Trick'

Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors can close out their Western Conference semifinal series against the Memphis Grizzlies in Game 5 at FedExForum.

But he may have been a little too clever ahead of Wednesday's game.

ESPN's Kendra Andrews reported on NBA Today on Wednesday that Curry responded to her question about the Warriors' Game 5 mentality by saying, "Whoop That Trick! That is our game plan."

It's the song title, performed by Al Kapone and featured on the movie Hustle & Flow, of the Grizzlies' adopted anthem that is played during vital moments late in games inside of FedExForum.

MARK GIANNOTTO: Blame Dillon Brooks, but don't make Grizzlies' Game 4 loss to Golden State more than it was

This Grizzlies-Warriors series has had an edge to it from Game 1. The first two games featured vital players from each team being ejected after a Flagrant 2 foul (Draymond Green in Game 1, Dillon Brooks in Game 2), and Monday's Game 4 was another physical, grind-it-out game. Curry had 18 fourth-quarter points in Monday's win.

Ja Morant suffered a bone bruise in his right knee in Game 3 and is likely out for the rest of the playoffs, the Grizzlies announced Tuesday, which means that the Grizzlies are without their top star. Down 3-1, Memphis' chances to advance are not the same returning home as they were heading out to San Francisco last week.

But Curry may have unnecessarily irritated the Grizzlies and their fans. And he's sure to hear about it from a FedExForum crowd who may be seeing the Grizzlies for the final time this season.
