Team Liquid confirms Link will rotate with Goldenglue through the season

Earlier today the Riot Games contract database was updated, with esports organization Team Liquid listing Austin “Link” Shin as their mid laner. Team Liquid has since confirmed that Link will be playing for the team throughout the season, rotating with Greyson “Goldenglue” Gilmer.

In a statement sent to Yahoo Esports, head coach of Team Liquid David Lim said, “I’m excited to have finally rounded out our roster and welcome Link to the Liquid family. Link is an extremely cerebral player and a very team centred one at that. We will rotate between Link and Goldenglue through the season and it is my hope that as the season progresses, the twin headed dragon of Link and Goldenglue will challenge the upper echelons of top League rosters.”

Link returns to professional League of Legends after more than a year away; the mid laner formerly played for Counter Logic Gaming before parting ways with the team in May 2015.

Team Liquid confirmed their roster early in December 2016, with top laner Samson “Lourlo” Jackson, jungler Kim “Reignover” Yeu-jin, mid laner Greyson “Goldenglue” Gilmer, and support Matt “Matt” Elento, and welcoming back Gwang-jin “Piglet” Chae.
