Team NP drops two players from Dota 2 roster, 1437 says it was ‘not a very peaceful exit’

Team NP has dropped two players from its Dota 2 roster, claims a YouTube video posted by former player Theeban “1437” Siva.

According to 1437, both he and Avery “SVG” Silverman were kicked from the team by Jacky “EternaLEnVy” Mao following the conclusion of the Dota 2 Asia Championships 2017. Team NP had placed 9th-12th.

“Post-DAC, EternalEnvy has kicked both SVG and I from the team,” 1437 said in the video. “Not going to go into too much detail about it in this video, but what I will say is it wasn’t a very peaceful exit for either SVG or me. Looking forward, I’m not really sure what I’m going to do.”

“What I do know is that my drive to play is very high. But I think I’m in a very weird position for myself right now, especially with the Kiev Major coming right around the corner. I think it’s better to postpone any ideas about that for the time being. So in the meantime, during the small break I have something very cool coming up. In preparation for that I would like to do some stuff with my stream and I would like to create some YouTube content from it as well.”

1437 finishes the video by pitching the idea of him analyzing some of Invictus Gaming’s matches from the DAC brackets.

Yahoo Esports has reached out to Team NP for comment and will update if we hear more.

Team NP was founded by team captain EternalEnvy in September 2016. Both 1437 and SVG were part of the team’s founding roster, alongside Kurtis “Aui_2000” Ling and Arif “MSS” Anwar. Team NP failed to win the North American qualifier spot for the upcoming Kiev Major, despite going 6-0 in the group stages. The spot ultimately went to Team Onyx.
