The 2017 NA LCS Spring Split regular season is over, TSM takes first

The 2017 North American League of Legends Championship Series regular season has wrapped up, and the playoff teams have been decided. Six teams will head off to a knockout stage to decide who will take home the 2017 NA LCS Spring Split championship.

The six playoff teams are as follows:

  1. Team SoloMid

  2. Cloud9

  3. Phoenix1

  4. Counter Logic Gaming

  5. FlyQuest

  6. Team Dignitas

TSM and Cloud9 will both get byes directly into the semifinals, while Phoenix1, CLG, FlyQuest, and Dignitas will be seeded into two best-of-five quarterfinals. The eventual finalists will play at the Pacific Coliseum in Vancouver on April 23. The champions will then head off to Brazil to play in the Mid-Season Invitational.

The ninth and tenth place teams are relegated to the Promotion Tournament, where they will play for their spot in the NA LCS against the top Challenger Series opponents. The two relegated teams after the 2017 Spring Split are Team Liquid and Team EnVyUs, who will be playing against eUnited and Gold Coin United, respectively.

Only two teams’ seasons are over entirely, with Immortals and Echo Fox sitting in seventh and eighth place. Because they did not qualify for the playoffs and weren’t relegated to the Promotion Tournament, the two organizations will be returning in the Summer Split without playing any more competitive matches.
