Live-streaming video platform Twitch has announced a partnership with professional gaming organizations Cloud9 and Team SoloMid.

Twitch will exclusively represent the two teams in sponsorship sales deals, targeting brands outside of the gaming sector. Interested brands will be offered access to the two teams’ combined audience.

In addition to this new focus on non-endemic sponsorships, Twitch will also serve as the exclusive streaming platform for TSM and Cloud9.

“Twitch’s goal is to continually expand growth and revenue opportunities for our content creators, the true drivers of community creation,” Twitch COO Kevin Lin said. “Our partnership with TSM and Cloud9 is long-standing and has helped pro players thrive in a growing live media ecosystem. This expanded partnership will also improve the overall health of the esports industry by providing more opportunities for players through long-term support in a more sustainable ecosystem.”

Partnering with pro teams is not the only business venture Twitch has conducted this year. In April Twitch announced its plans to acquire Curse, a company with products including VoiP application, various internet websites, and Curse Client, an add-on and modification service. Curse confirmed that it had agreed to the acquisition in August and is now a subsidiary of Twitch parent company Amazon.com.

In 2014 Twitch acquired GoodGame, the parent company of esports organizations Evil Geniuses and Alliance. Two years after the acquisition, GoodGame founder Alex Garfield parted ways with Twitch.
