Tyreek Hill comes to defense of Tua Tagovailoa after fans mocked viral Dolphins video

The Miami Dolphins social media team thought it would be rev up its fanbase this week by tweeting a video of quarterback Tua Tagovailoa throwing a pass to new receiver Tyreek Hill at practice.

Instead, fans of other teams focused on how Hill had to reach back for Tagovailoa’s pass. And the throw was the subject of many blog posts.

“Tua Tagovailoa underthrowing Tyreek Hill is the saddest Dolphins hype video possible,” SB Nation wrote.

Former NFL punter Pat McAfee said on his show: “How is this the first video we see of Tua and Tyreek?”

The Chiefs blog Arrowhead Pride wrote a story with the headline: “Tyreek Hill may miss Patrick Mahomes sooner rather than later.”

The video of Tua to Tyreek was viewed more than 6.6 million times on Twitter and generated thousands of comments from fans.

It created the wrong kind of buzz for the Dolphins this week.

Hill, the former Chiefs star, saw enough of the comments that he tweeted his own video with clips of Tagovailoa throwing pinpoint passes to Hill.

“Can y’all chill or nah ? We talking about practice,” Hill wrote.
