The tragic shooting that has claimed at least 17 lives at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida on Wednesday spared the life of UFC fighter Alexey Oleynik’s daughter.

Polina Oleynik is a student at the high school.

Olynik posted a video of his daughter being interviewed by a local TV crew in the wake of the shooting on Twitter Wednesday afternoon.

“No comment, terrible moments of parents,” Olynik wrote.

Oleynik’s manager Abe Kawa confirmed with MMA Fighting that Polina was unharmed.

Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel told reporters that 19-year-old Nicolas de Jesus Cruz has been arrested as a suspect in the shooting at the Ft. Lauderdale-area school that is home to around 3,200 students. An AR-15 style assault rifle was recovered at the scene, Israel said.

Oleynik, 40, is scheduled to fight Junior Albini at UFC 224 on May 12 in Rio de Janeiro.
