We’ve finally gotten our first look at the reworked Warwick (Riot Games)

The long-rumored and much-demanded Warwick rework is finally coming to League of Legends, and Riot Games has released a trailer to prove it.

While there isn’t any gameplay to speak of in the cinematic trailer, Riot has been known to sneak hints of what champions will be capable of into their teasers. In this trailer, for example, Warwick takes a massive leap from a platform to an elevator, implying that he’ll be able to jump on top of his prey from a distance. What’s more, he seems to draw power from a chemical container attached to his back, perhaps hinting at some sort of activatable buff.

Of course, this is all speculation, but the idea of a rework coming for one of League of Legends’ oldest and least competitively viable champions is certainly an exciting one. What’s more, reworked champions tend to be on the strong side of the meta upon their release (see Fiora, Gangplank, or Poppy), so it’s safe to assume that Warwick will follow suit.

Yahoo Esports will be sure to be watching for any new information on reworked Warwick and his impact on competitive League of Legends.
