Blizzard has released a new cinematic for Heroes of the Storm, confirming the addition of a new hero in the form of Overwatch’s D.Va.

The action-packed trailer is set in the recently added Hanamura map and features Genji teaming up with D.Va to fight against Diablo. Genji was only recently added to the Heroes of the Storm cast alongside the addition of a new map, Hanamura.

D.Va is a tank hero in Overwatch. Her backstory paints her as a 19-year old former professional gamer who now utilizes her skills to pilot a mechanized armored drone unit. It is equipped with two fusion cannons, and her Overwatch ultimate ability sets the mech to self-destruct, dealing massive amounts of damage.

While no in-game footage featuring her Heroes of the Storm kit was shown, Genji does hop onto D.Va’s mech at one point while she’s mid-flight.

Blizzard also recently updated the game to version 2.0. The patch added a slew of changes, including Loot Chests, Diablo II-inspired hero the Amazon Cassia, and changes to the player levelling system and in-game shop. You can get more information in our detailed breakdown article.
