What is it?

England play Belgium in their first World Cup third-place play-off game since 1990.

Gareth Southgate's side fell one game short of the World Cup final after an agonising extra-time defeat to Croatia.

Belgium inadvertently booked their place in the third-place play-off following a 1-0 defeat to France on Tuesday evening.

When is it?

Saturday July 14 at 3pm.

What TV channel is it on?

Live coverage begins at 2.30pm on ITV and will be anchored by Mark Pougatch.

There were fireworks in the studio on Wednesday evening as ITV pundits Roy Keane and Ian Wright dissected England's semi-final defeat to Croatia.

The pair ended up in an on-air row that would not have looked out of place on the Jeremy Kyle show as Keane accused Wright of getting too carried away with England's World Cup fairytale.

How can I live stream the match?

If you are in the UK but without access to a television, you can watch the whole of England vs Belgium on ITV player on desktop, mobile or a tablet.

All you need to do is make sure you have an ITV and are signed in your relevant device.

Will there be a highlights show?

Don’t worry if you miss the game as BBC One will be showing a replay of the whole game from 11.50pm.

Alternatively you can watch extended highlights of the game on BBC One from 10:20pm.

What have TV ratings been like?

A peak audience of 26.6 million people tuned in to watch England crash out of the World Cup to Croatia, making it the most watched TV event since the 2012 London Olympics opening ceremony.

There is still some way to go to match the 32 million people who watched the 1966 World Cup final, however.

England have played just one third place play-off in World Cup history, in 1990, the last time they reached the semi-finals.

After losing the semi-final to Germany in 1990, England faced Italy in the battle for third, losing 2-1 after late goals from Roberto Baggio and Salvatore Schillaci. David Platt got on the scoresheet for England.

What is the team news?

England are likely to make several changes with Kieran Trippier the main injury problem.

Gareth Southgate could take the opportunity to give game time to others in the squad who have not featured.

Harry Kane looked tired and lethargic in England's extra-time defeat to Croatia but the Tottenham striker is likely to play against Belgium with the Golden Boot award his for the taking.
